Ø  Composition Notebook (1) (kept in class at all times)

Ø  Loose-leaf paper

Ø  Pencils a plenty

Ø  colored pen (purple or green)— non-gel please

Ø  Highlighters (4 different colors)

Ø  Roll of transparent tape and a glue stick

Ø  POST-Its (colored and any size)

Ø  1 Paper Towel Roll

NOVELS: Student Interests

o   Students will need to engage in a self-selected,  “HIGH interest,” grade level novel. Free reading everyday.

o    Book order opportunities are available and encouraged through Scholastic. Our class code is  GWGPX

 

Evaluation Procedures

Ø  Written work must be neat and legible; written in pencil on one side only.

o   OR

Ø  If electronic, 13-point Tahoma with one inch margins.

o   Papers must have a proper and complete heading at all times.

Ø  Only Original copies of assignments will be accepted.  Plagiarism NOT tolerated. Students will be taught to use MLA format.

Ø  Content, punctuation, grammar, spelling, and form are standards of grading all written work.

Ø  Students are given opportunities to earn tickets to be used at their discretion (library, bathroom, homework, I-players, and copious student centered privileges) throughout the year.

Ø  We treat others as our individual self wants to be treated.

Ø  Be in your seat ready to work at the RING of tardy bell.

Ø  Be prepared with all required books and supplies.

Ø  Keep the classroom neat and clean.
