My job as Campus Intervention Specialist is to help support the teachers as they meet the needs of the students in their classrooms. Some of my job responsibilities include: overseeing the tests given and helping the teachers analyze the data that results from these tests to further classroom goals. I also coordinate both SIT (Student Intervention Team) and 504 meetings. Basically, if you have a concern with your student I am a great place to start. This is my 27th year in education and my 17th year in Allen. I taught at Reed for 10 years and Chandler for 3 years before coming to Evans. Before moving to Allen we lived in the Clear Lake area in Houston where I taught the other 10 years. I have taught 3rd, 4th and 6th grade. I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from Southwest Texas State University (okay, Texas State), and my M.A. in School Administration from Lamar University. I am married to my Prince Charming. He is a principal at Clark Middle School in Frisco. He taught at Curtis in his younger days, so some of you may know him. He is an excellent educator and my hero. Our daughter is studying to be a special education teacher. She loves children and has a huge heart for the academically and physically challenged. I am here to help your child succeed and reach his or her fullest potential. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call. |
