I am originally from Edmonton, Canada. I have lived in Texas for 11 years. I moved to Texas because I was offered a teaching job in Houston.
I have been married for ten years. My husband, Jerry, and I have two amazingly, wonderful daughters. Michaela, our eldest daughter, is also a Marion Maverick, and she will be in third grade this school year. Our youngest is Ashlyn, and she is almost five years old. We live in Allen, and we love it here!
Some of my favorite things to do are watch movies, listen to top 40 music, swim, run, ice-skate and shop. I also love spending time with my family. My favorite television shows are American Idol and Dancing With The Stars.
This is my fifteenth year of teaching, and I'm so proud to be a part of Marion Elementary. My favorite aspects about teaching are getting to know my students, building a rapport with them, and seeing their excitement for learning.
I look forward to a fabulous school year. Sixth grade is very fun, and I'm sure you will have a great school year.
