Meet Coach Williams
Hi everyone! My name is Kera Williams and I am the lead Physical Education teacher at Marion.
I graduated in 1998 from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree. I majored in Kinesiology with a minor in English. I currently live in McKinney with my husband Chris and our three children, Trinity, 11 (a 6th grader here at Marion), Ethan, 8, (a 3rd grader at Marion) and Reid, our three year old. We have two dogs. Moses is a Pug and Sampson is a Shih Tzu.
I began my teaching career in the Rice Consolidated ISD at Garwood Elementary and Middle School in 1999. I taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade Language Arts and 8th grade Reading and Art. I also taught K-3 PE and coached 7th and 8th grade Volleyball, Basketball, Golf, Track and Tennis.
My next job took me to Pasadena ISD. I taught PK-5 Physical Education there for three years.
Finally I moved to Allen ISD. I have been at Marion since it opened, teaching K-6 Physical Education. We added a Wellness program to our school around three year ago. Through that program we have been able to offer a variety of different opportunities to the students at Marion.
We are celebrating a decade at Marion! I hope you are looking forward to having some fun in PE!
