Career Information:
This is my 8th year at Marion. I started at Marion in 2005 as a brand new teacher where I taught 5th grade math. The following year, I moved up to 6th grade, and taught math for three years. I loved being a 5th and 6th grade teacher and those will be experiences that I will cherish forever. I enjoy being the SSI teacher because it gives me the opportunity to work with a variety of students and grade levels and most importantly, it gives me the chance to help students achieve their academic goals and celebrate their successes. My husband and I have lived in Allen since 2006. We have been married for 11 wondeful years and we two children. Our son, Aivry, is 5 and is in Kindergarten this year. He loves being a Marion Maverick! Our daughter, Mattie, is 7 months old. She is so precious and we are adjusting to having a baby in the house again. My husband, Troy, works at Allen High School as the Coordinator for Advanced Academics. Outside of teaching, we travel a lot. We LOVE our Texas Tech Red Raiders - GO TECH!!! I love watching football, I enjoy music and I love to sing, I also enjoy sewing, when I have time. I value time with my family. I come from a large family where I have four sisters, one brother, and lots of nieces and nephews that I like to spoil! I love teaching at Marion Elementary. It is a loving and nurturing environment, where we all work together to achieve one common goal - the success of our students!!! |
