Hello and welcome to my web page! I love being a teacher and I love teaching First Grade!
I grew up in El Paso, Texas and graduated from Abilene Christian University. This will be my 16th year to teach. I have taught at Marion since it opened in 2003. I have also taught in Plano ISD.
I am married to Mori Young and I have three sons; Jonathan, Shane, and Chase. Jonathan graduated from UNT and is working as a Computer Graphic Designer at Fossil. Shane just graduated from UT in Austin and has a degree in music composition. Chase attends Abilene Christian University where he is working on his Secondary Education Degree. Chase played on the Allen Eagle Varsity football team that won the Division I 5A State Championship for the State of Texas in 2008! My husband. and I own a martial arts school in Allen. It is called Young's Taekwondo Academy. In addition to teaching 1st Grade, I enjoy reading, martial arts, cheering on my favorite football teams (Allen Eagles, Texas Longhorns, ACU Wildcats, and the Dallas Cowboys), scrap-booking, playing the piano, swimming, American Girl Book Club, and playing with my dogs Mandy and Maggie. I'm excited about another wonderful school year! |
