...14th year of teaching 2nd grade and 18th year with Allen Ind. Schools. Previously taught 6th grade Science and Social Studies and also managed both Boyd and Norton Elementary school cafeterias.

...Mother of three children and grandmother of two. 

- Bobby- age 30, is attending George Washington Law school in Washington D.C. after serving 3 years in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic.  He is currently studing for the summer at Oxford in London. Bobby also has an Advertising Degree from the Univ. of TX .
- Emily- age 28, a 2008 graduate from UT Arlington, with a degree in Construction Management and Social Affairs. She is married  to Alex and they've  had my first two  grandchildren - Logan is almost 3 and Layla will be 1 in October. They are the cutest little things ever!  :) They are currently living in Mississippi.
- Thomas- age 21,  graduated from Allen High School  in 2009.  He has most recently worked at Top Golf  as a chef in the kitchen.

 

 ...Hobbies are interior decorating, gardening, sewing and vacationing, but time does not allow for much of any of these.

...Member of Richardson Church of the Nazarene - actively involved in women's ministries and I sing alto in the choir.

...I have lived in Texas for the past 28 years.

I believe that we are all life-long learners. Every situation which lends itself to that end is of interest to me. I am enjoying my thirteenth year of working with the second graders at Norton Elementary. It is an awesome responsibility and a wonderful privelege to get to know each child. What a delight it has been over the years to watch these little ones begin to realize their potential and to guide them in that pursuit.
