Hello, my name is Scott Jordan.  I teach 5th Grade Social Studies.  I am looking forward to a great year of school in 2012-13.  Let me tell you about myself.

 

I was born in Paris....Texas!  My family moved to Sherman, Tx. when I was 4 years old and that is where I grew up.  I graduated from Sherman High School in 1971.  I joined the United States Navy and served from 1972-1976.  My wife, Carla, and I were married in 1973.  We have three grown children...Rob (lake manager of Lake Lewisville and Lake Ray Roberts), Lindsey (2nd grade teacher at S&S Consolidated School District) and Laura (who you know as Mrs. Pecina...teaching 2nd grade here at Bolin.)  We have 5 sweet granddaughters...7 year old Katy, 6 year old Brynn, 4 year old Keelie, 2 year old Paisley and 1 year old Khloe. 

 

I am a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  I have been a pastor for 35 years.  I am presently helping with a small church north of Whitesboro, Texas. 

 

This is my 5th year at Bolin.  I began as a teacher's aide, then taught PE for a semester.  I taught science and social studies 3 years ago and now for the 3rd year, I am teaching social studies.

 

I LOVE HISTORY...I STUDY HISTORY...I hope to help you fall in love with history as well and help you become a life-long learner in the process.
