The wonderful 5th grade AIM students have begun their journey learning about the Civil War this year. We started off by reading a wonderful book by Patricia Polacco called Pink and Say. Our current focus is understanding that this was a conflict that involved REAL people in all walks of life. We are also researching the causes that led up to the Civil War.
