Library Hours
The library will be open to students during the school day from 8:30-2:30. The library offers after school check out from  3:00-3:30 daily.  Students may visit the library individually to check in and check out books with teacher permission or during a class visit to the library.
Check Out Policies
Kindergarten Students: 1 book for 1week.
 
First Grade Students: 1 book for 2 weeks.
 
Second through Sixth Grade Students: 2 books for 2 weeks
 
 
We encourage students to return books when they are finished, even if it is before the book's due date! To assist students in returning books in a timely fashion, the library offers early morning classroom book pick-up from 8:15-8:30.   
 
Students may renew books at the library if they are not finished by the book's due date. Just bring the book to the library and ask Mrs. B. or Mrs. Feeney to renew it.   The book's due date will be stamped on the back of the book.
 
It is the sole responsibility of the student to ensure his or her books are returned on time. 

 
Allen ISD Elementary Library Fine Policy
Each overdue book will assess a $0.05/day fine, not to exceed $5.00.
Students will not be allowed to check out any books until the book is returned and the fine is paid. Fines will not be charged for weekends or holidays.
Lost and Damaged Books
If a student loses or damages a library book, the student is responsible for paying for that book.
If a lost book that was paid for is found, please return the book to the library and a refund will be issued if the book is in good condition.
Refunds will gladly be issued during the same school year that the book was lost. However, we will be unable to refund lost book monies after the last day of the school year that the book was lost.
