Each year, the book selections by the City of Allen, Texas, ALLen Reads Committee reflect and promote the importance of reading in our community. 
 
Our 2012-2013 secondary/adult level title is Okay For Now, by Gary D. Schmidt, the intermediate choice(grades 3-6) is A Nest for Celeste, written and illustrated by Henry Cole, and the young reader book (K-2) is My Dog Thinks I'm a Genius, written by Harriet Ziefert, illustrated by Barroux.
