Your child will be need a 3 ring Binder with pockets. This will be their Take Home Binder and they will be responsible for bringing this back and forth each day.

Homework Assignment
In their Take Home Binder they will keep an Agenda, Conduct Page/Summary Card and their homework. Homework should be kept in the front pocket. Please check it daily to make sure your child has completed their homework. We encourage parents to initial their child's agenda and Conduct Page so that we know you have seen it. We will be keeping track of important dates, field trips and events in our Agenda. Homework
There will be Homework given each night, Monday-Thursday. The homework must be completed and turned in the following day. The homework should be kept in your child’s Take Home binder. Each child is responsible for turning in thier homework on time. If a child does not turn in their homework on time, their folder will be signed and they will work on their homework assignement during recess. Any work sent home that is incorrect needs to be reviewed together in order to ensure that your child is understanding the skill/objective taught in class. Reading Homework Please make sure your child is reading a total of 150 minutes a week at home, this can be done by reading 5 days a week for 30 minutes a day. Math Homework Your child should study their addition and subtraction flashcards a minimum of 5-10 minutes each night until they are memorized. We will be starting mutliplication and Division in January, they must have their + / - facts memorized before then. We will start studying multiplication and division facts 2nd semester.
