Did you know that you can refill a water bottle everyday for 10 years and spend the same amount of money as buying ONE plastic bottle of water???
80% of all water bottles end up in landfills with less than 20% sent to recycling plants.
The Norton Green Team would like to encourage you to BRING YOUR OWN BOTTLE!!!  Let's save the planet one bottle at a time.

Glue Sticks, Glue bottles, Markers can be recycled
As the year comes to an end the trash cans are begining to fill up with glue sticks, glue bottles, and worn down markers. But all of those materials can now be recycled. Go in front of the library and put them in the box.

Norton Green Team
Recycle Bowl

The Norton Green Team will be participating in the National Recycle Bowl from Oct. 17- Nov. 12.  Students and teachers at Norton recycled everything that they could to show the state and nation that our school means business when we recycle.  The Green Team weighed all recycled materials and reported our results to Keep America Beautiful.
During the Recycle Bowl in November 2013, we collected over 2600 pounds of recycling.
To learn more about the Recycle Bowl go to http://www.kab.org/site/PageServer?pagename=index .

We reused juice pouches by making them into cute pocket pouches.  We sold these before school during December.  We will use these funds to purchase materials to continue our recycling endeavours.
