Student Registration Process 2013-2014 School Year

Prior to June 13, 2013, please contact your home attendance school to enroll your student.   To determine the schools zoned for your home click here.

Summer Enrollment: June 17-July 30, 2013
 

Grades K - 8

Elementary and Middle School enrollment packets can be obtained from the Allen ISD Administration Building located at 612 E. Bethany Drive between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday beginning June 13. 

Once the packet is complete, please call Student Services at 972-727-7115 to schedule an appointment to enroll the student. 
Enrollment appointments will be scheduled during the summer on Mondays and Tuesdays only between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm from June 17 through July 30.

Enrollment will resume at the
Elementary and Middle School campuses beginning August 7.

Enrolling Students in Grades 9 through 12 for the 2013-14 School Year

Enrolling New Students 

Parents enrolling their student for the first time should contact the school their child will attend or Student Services, please see dates above. To register in Allen ISD, a student must live within the boundaries of Allen ISD and meet state age and health requirements. A child must be five years of age on or before September 1 to enter kindergarten and six years old on or before September 1 to enter first grade.

In addition to completing an Allen ISD registration packet, parents will need to provide the following documentation when registering a student:

a.   2 proofs of residency (lease/contract or voter registration card and/or one current utility bill)
             b.   Latest report card (if applicable)
             c.    Birth certificate
             d.  Immunization Record
             e.  Social Security Card

A current utility bill may be used as one proof of residency; the other must be a voter registration card, an apartment lease, or the closing date on a house. (Closing date must fall within the first nine weeks of school to be eligible for enrollment.)

Registration packets for elementary students may be obtained from the front office of each elementary school and middle school during the school year or from the Allen ISD Administration Building during Summer. Contact the registrar at Allen High School (grades 10-12) at 972-727-0400 ext. 7133 or the Lowery Freshman Center at 972-396-6975 for registration procedures. Contact the Student Services Office at 972-727-7115 to verify eligibility if you have any questions.

Building Capacity (New Families Please Read)

Due to rapid enrollment growth in Allen, the enrollment numbers at some schools may exceed the building capacity in various grade levels. As you enroll your child in Allen ISD, please be aware that new students may be assigned to another school outside of their attendance area if enrollment capacity is reached at their home school. District transportation will be provided if applicable.
