Hi, I am Mrs. Horowitz. No one calls me that though; everyone calls me Mrs. H. This is my fourth year as the principal at Ford. I love each and every day that I am at Ford.
Before I came to Ford I was a principal at an elementaty school in Richardson. I was the Head of a private school before that. I have worked in central office as a Director of curriculum and instruction mostly with math and science. As a teacher I actually taught little people, in kindergarten, first, second and fifth grades. However, I have always had a special place in my heart for teen agers especially middle schoolers.
I am the mom of two kids; Matthew is 20 and Anna is 17 (AHS). I am the wife of Steve (Lowery), who has refashioned himself as a teacher after 27 years in engineering and marketing. I guess my love for education finally wore off on him. I have two dogs, Duke and Tziva! They are too funny.
In my free time I like to play golf, walk in the woods, read and bead with teeny tiny beads, When and if I ever truly grow up, I want to be a teacher. I guess I am almost there!
