This is my fifth year at Curtis and I love it! Before becoming your Librarian, I was an ESL teacher, taught second grade and, even worked in the Kerr Elementary School library!

I was born and raised in Arcadia, Florida, and completed my undergraduate degree (in accounting!) at Florida State University in Tallahassee. I have a Masters in Library Science from Texas Woman's University.

It was at college where I met my husband, Jamie. Needless to say, we are big Seminole fans! We have two sons, both are Allen High grads. Matt recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Sam is a Freshman at UNT. We also have a yellow Labrador Retriever named Ruby.

Allen has been our home for the past 15 years.

My husband and I love going to sporting events. I LOVE the Dallas Mavericks...a true MFFL (Mavs Fan for Life)!

We even went to several Ranger playoff games, as well as some of their World Series games! What a blast! Too bad we didn't make it this year!

My family loves to travel. My husband surprised me recently with a trip to Forks, Washington--home of Twilight. It was a fun trip. The town has fully embraced the books. Even though none of the movie was filmed there, locations around town have been designated "sites" from the book. There is even a tour bus that takes visitors on Twilight Tours!
