| We believe that each child shines at Anderson, therefore we strive to recognize those students who shine extra bright because of their all-star choices, behaviors, and attitude. Below is a list of a few of the ways we work to recognize these students who are shining bright! Shooting Stars – A PTA program that recognizes students with an ALL STAR ATTITUDE each six weeks. Teachers will select two students as their “Shooting Star”. Students will be recognized at a special ceremony organized by PTA, receive a tag, and get a free recess with Karin and Debbie immediately following the shooting stars ceremony. To be eligible a student must meet at least three of the following criteria: Good Attendance All-Star behavior All-Star work habits All-Star attitude 100% Club – Every student that has had perfect attendance (no absences and no tardies) for each semester will be selected as a member of the 100% Club and will receive a perfect attendance tag. Honor Roll – Each 6 weeks we recognize those students who have all A’s and B’s on their report card by listing their names in the front hallway. Students who have maintained straight A’s all semester will receive an honor roll tag. Special Area All-Star – Our special area teachers will be recognizing students each six weeks for showing outstanding sportsmanship and character. These students will be recognized on morning announcements and will receive a “character tag”. Compliment Coupons – A coupon given to an entire class for displaying an extraordinary attitude or behavior or to an individual student. Whole class compliment coupons can trade in their coupons for rewards. Individual students can receive a special behavior tag when they have received 3 compliment coupons. In addition to these school wide student recognition programs, teachers also work to recognize each child in their classroom and applaud their all-star attitude! |
