My name is Ryan Thomasco and I am the Athletic Coordinator/Head Football Coach at Curtis Middle School. I have been teaching and coaching within the Allen Independent School District for the past six years. Prior to my tenure at Allen ISD, I spent five years coaching varsity football at Mesquite High School as an inside linebacker coach. Previous stops in my thirteen year career also include Richland High School as a freshman coach and Coppell Middle School West as a middle school coach.
My wife, Jaime, teaches at Vaughan Elementary School as a fifth grade team leader. Lyla, my daughter, is starting kindergarten at her mom's school this upcoming year. Harper and Hudson are the newest additions to our family as six month old twins.
I chose teaching and coaching as my profession because of the impact that positive role models can have on young student-athletes. I have a passion for teaching and coaching middle school student-athletes, not only the fundamentals necessary to be successful in football, but the life lessons learned from discipline, work ethic, perseverance, sacrifice and team concept.
Middle school athletes are beginning a journey in athletics that will shape and mold their physical, mental, emotional and social well-being at a very impressionable age. Each of our athletes will experience highs and lows, ups and downs, and triumph and defeat throughout their athletic career at Curtis Middle School. The life lessons learned through competition in athletics will be an invaluable experience that these athletes will remember and cherish for the rest of their lives.
Each athlete will have a challenging, yet rewarding experience in athletics at Curtis Middle School. I look forward to teaching and coaching the fundamental techniques and principles that establish a solid foundation for each athlete in athletics while at Curtis Middle School. I, also, look forward to watching our current Curtis Cougars in the future as they mature and develop into Allen Eagles!!
