In an effort to be good stewards of energy, AISD schools held a friendly competition to see who could impact the savings of electricity costs the most during the 2011-2012 school year.   Total savings district wide for 2011-2012 over the previous year was $266,000. Boyd Elementary's  contribution to that savings was $27,207 or an energy use reduction of 26%. The highest in the district!
