Student Registration Process 2012-2013 School Year Allen ISD is registering students for the current school year. Parents enrolling their student for the first time should contact the school their child will attend. To register in Allen ISD, a student must live within the boundaries of Allen ISD and meet state age and health requirements. A child must be five years of age on or before September 1 to enter kindergarten and six years old on or before September 1 to enter first grade. In addition to completing an Allen ISD registration packet, parents will need to provide the following documentation when registering a student:
Registration packets for elementary students may be obtained from the front office of each elementary school and middle school. Contact the registrar at Allen High School (grades 10-12) at 972-727-0400 ext. 7133 or the Lowery Freshman Center at 972-396-6975 for registration procedures. Contact the Student Services Office at 972-727-7115 to verify eligibility if you have any questions. Building Capacity (New Families Please Read) Due to rapid enrollment growth in Allen, the enrollment numbers at some schools may exceed the building capacity in various grade levels. As you enroll your child in Allen ISD, please be aware that new students may be assigned to another school outside of their attendance area if enrollment capacity is reached at their home school.
