Ms Wharton Ms Wharton is in her eleventh year as a Library Media Specialist. All of them at Vaughan Elementary! She has a Master's Degree in Library Science from Texas Woman's University in Denton. Her "first" degree was in Physical Education and she taught P.E. in elementary, middle, and high schools before she decided on a career change. When away from the LMC, she enjoys spending time at home with her Shetland Sheepdog, Kit. Mrs. Wharton has 2 grown sons, a lovely daughter-in-law, and a daughter who recently graduated from UT Austin. Ms Wharton enjoys cross stitching, outdoor activities, and reading in her time away from school... She loves her job! Working with students of all ages and interacting with teachers is exciting and challenging. She learns something every day! She hopes she never tires of helping students discover needed information or guiding them to a book that opens a new window in their world.
