I have a total of 21 years teaching experience.(16 years in public schools and 5 years in private schools) I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade and 3rd grade in Oklahoma, Cypress Fairbanks I.S.D. (located in Houston), DeSoto and at Boyd Elementary. I taught 1st and 2nd grades at Boyd Elementary from 1993-1999. At that point, I took 5 years off from teaching to be a stay home mom. I returned to Boyd in 2004 where I am once again teaching 1st grade!
My husband, Jay, and I have been married for 25 years. We have 21 year old twins, Jon and Katie. They attended Allen schools from 1st grade through 12th grade! They graduated from Allen HS in 2005. They are both currently in their senior year of college. Jon attends Texas A&M in College Station where he is majoring in biology (pre-dental). Katie attends Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas where she is majoring in early childhood education.
We have a dog named Maggie and a cat named Murphy. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watching movies.
I also enjoy listening to country music, especially Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson and George Strait! When I have free time I like to work on scrapbooks for my kids, Jon and Katie.
