Math/Science Calculator Practice and Reviews
2007-2008 5A State Meet 8th Place Team
This page is for Math/Science Calculator participants to have a chance to see when we practice, review the rules, or download a practice test to use at home.

For the calculator competition, we use the HP 33s. Although any calculator may be used this one suits our needs the best. We have calculators at school for the students to practice with and take to the competitions to use. Some students like to purchase thier own calculator for the competition, Hp.com and walmart.com have the lowest prices on these calculators.


Practices will be held every Thursday morning and afterschool. A competitor needs to choose one of these practice times to attend each week. Competitors may come in any other time for extra practice but official practice in on Thursdays only. For an effective practice, competitors need to spend 45 minutes to an hour at practice.


Competitors need to achieve a certain score to earn the right to attend the state meet. This year the score to go to the state competition is 7th grade---185 and 8th grade---215.
