Tidbits from Mrs. Ryan • In Math, we are working on congruency, symmetry, geometric shapes, measurement, and multiplication/division. • Do you have Math FLASH CARDS at home? • We are working on a small play in math. • In Reading, we are working on increasing stamina. While I pull small groups, Mrs. McGregor monitors silent reading. • Is your child filling out the INDEPENDENT READING REPORT forms? This is your child’s evidence to me that he/she is reading for pleasure. • In Social Studies, we are learning about mythology and legends. • In Science, we are focusing on characteristics of the sun. Students also need to know the order of the planets. • We had our 3rd Grade “Celebration” on January 29th. A number of students were recognized. • On February 14th, we will exchange Valentine cards. • SUPPLIES. Please ask your child if their supplies are adequate.
