PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
I Believe:
- all children deserve respect as human beings
- children should be corrected, not embarrassed or humiliated
- boundaries should not be placed on a child’s learning
- respect children’s opinions
- children have the right to learn
- children should feel comfortable in my class
- children should be told the truth
- individuality of children is sacred
- do not underestimate children
- there is more to teach than just the subject at hand
- encourage questions
- children are also teachers
- children need positive reinforcement
- all children deserve a chance to succeed
