| Frances Williams |
| It is with a happy memory that we recall the life of Frances Williams. Frances was born on June 18, 1924. She died on March 10, 2002. She accomplished many things in her life in addition to her work for the preservation of large open spaces. For many years she came to our school and met with the children. The children all looked up to her for her passion and involvement in preserving Connemara. Each year the students were filled with excitement when they found out that she was coming. I salute her for her caring spirit, for the encouragement she gave to my students, and for the many handwritten notes she sent to each and every child that was involved in our Connemara celebrations. When we return to school after Spring Break, the students will plant some flowers at school in her memory. As she appreciated the beauty of nature...so, too, do we appreciate the beauty of her nature as a human being. |
