This is my sixth year as the ESL teacher at Kerr Elementary School. I have been in education 30+ years and in Allen 26 years. I love Allen ISD. I moved to Allen to teach here and for my children to attend school here. I have two children that attended Allen ISD and went on to graduate from college. I feel my children received a superior education in Allen ISD.
Our ESL population has really grown in Allen ISD. We're glad to have all our newcomers here at Kerr Elementary. Our ESL students are pulled out of the regular classroom to come to the ESL room for extra language skills. The ESL students work on skills in Reading, Writing. Listening and Speaking of the English Language.
