Creeds
In keeping with the "Great Expectations" program,
each class at Ford has a creed. A school-wide student creed establishes a basis for
each class's creed. Administrators and teachers support this philosophy as well.Student's Creed
I will do my best, because I was born to be a winner.
My life is a miracle, and I cannot waste it. I will put my past behind me
because my future starts today. I will make this day the best I can. At Ford,
we are here to succeed as students. We are learning to be leaderes. We will
show respect to ourselves, our teachers, our classmates and our school. We are
Ford's best!
Teacher's Creed
I am a teacher. I accept the challenge to be sagacious
and tenacious in teaching every student, because I believe every student can learn.
I accept the responsibility to create a learning environment conducive to optimum
achievement adacemically, socially, and emotionally. I actively pursus excellence
for my students and myself. I provide a model of decorum and respect that guides my
students as well as honors them. I affirm superlative expectations for my students
and myself. I cherish every student. I am a teacher. I change the world
one student at a time.
Administrator's Creed
We are dedicated to ensuring that every child in America
receives a quality education. We care about our country by caring deeply about its
children. We believe that no barrier should separate a child from the best education
a school can offer . . . that neither race nor sex nor ethnic heritage nor geography nor
social or economic status may be used to deny a child the opportunity to acquire a solid
foundation in reading, writing, and mathematics . . . in critical thinking . . . and in
the values of friendship, compassion, honesty, and self-esteem. We are committed to
instructional excellence and we support the aspirations of teachers everywhere to give
each boy and girl a quality school experience during the crucial years of childhood.
We accept the challenge of the research showing that quality education in every
school depends on the expertise, dedication, and leadership of the principal of that
school. |
