Thanks For Our Freedom

"Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, and the spirit of men," Dwight D. Eisenhower once said.  Today we are recognizing all those who fought for our freedom, bravely put their lives at risks and defended our country.  If it wasn't for these courageous heroes, we wouldn't be able to make our own decisions, have free speech, and be where we are today.

Veterans had to give up their life so that we could live freely.  Veterans sacrificed and suffered so we could all have civil rights.  Veterans left their loved ones in order for us to live together with our loved ones safely.  Veterans gave up all they had in hope for a better place to live life to the fullest.  Would you do that today?  Would you risk dying for the benefit of our country?  They did, and I respect them to the fullest.

As Americans, freedom is something we value, cherish, but can take for granted.  These fine Americans have done everything in their power to make our country remain free, and their sacrifices will be remembered forever.  The national anthem words ring true, thanks to the Veterans, we truly are"the land of the free, and the home of the brave."
