Your grade will be made up of daily grades and project grades. Daily grades will consist of daily participation grades, one-day projects, quizzes, and Word.doc’s (be careful to follow the instructions on-line). Your project grades will be received for long-term projects assigned in class. Yearbook projects will include deadline pages, especially at the beginning of the year until the book is done. All projects will have deadlines for completion. You will know exactly what is required to be in each project. You should be careful to include each element required and to meet the deadline. I will use a rubric to grade these projects. You may add to or improve any of these projects even after the deadline to improve your grade, but you will be responsible for showing me the improvements. The only exception is for yearbooks, which are rigid. Occasionally, you may be assigned a special project which will excuse you from part or all of a class project. Daily grades will count 40% and Project grades will count 60%.

Several of your projects will be a team effort, because most businesses are organized in teams today. If you ever have a problem with the grade on such a project, be sure to talk to me about it, and we’ll come up with something that you consider to be fair. Also, if you have a suggestion of a way to adapt a project so that it meets your personal needs better, never ever hesitate to make suggestions. I’m actually looking for ways to make class more meaningful to you.

I will post an itemized copy of each project rubric (by ID number) on the instruction website, so that you can see where additions or improvements are necessary.  The following is an example of how averages will look online.
