Here’s what you can expect to happen in class everyday. Actually, it’s hard to predict exactly what will happen. Here’s why. I will teach lessons, and you’ll have projects to do. During all this, people will call us for help, and somebody will have to go solve the problem. Teachers often want us to make things for them, including home pages or to help them with a computer program. All of my students take pictures for the Yearbook. Most people do not plan ahead and emergencies arise. Working in this kind of organized confusion is a great experience, because it is just like real life. If you don’t believe it, ask your parents.

Anyway, there are things you should get in the habit of doing every day, so that you’ll know what’s going on. Here’s the procedure.

  1. Read instructions and do what they say.
  2. Write your Agenda information down
  3. Prepare for a class meeting (some days) or a lesson (some days) according to the instructions you read.
  4. Work on your project. Be careful to meet the specifications and finish on time.
  5. BACK UP YOUR WORK (save it in more than one place).
  6. Record in your Word Blog every day.

Always, use your time well, because you don’t know when you’ll be called away to help a teacher or take pictures. Work at home if you need to and can. Work before or after school if that’s best for you.  Sometimes it will be necessary to modify your current project by substituting work you do for others for work that is required in the project.
