No Bullying

Ford Middle School has no tolerance for bullying.  Students watched video clips illustrating the concept on the first day of school.  Students are encouraged to report bullying to their teachers and administrators.  To encourage students who may not want to come forward publically, we are providing an email address where they can write their concerns.   This address is

FordNoBully@allenisd.org

Here is more information on the subject.  The following is from pg 22 of the AISD Code of Conduct.

Bullying is written or oral expression or physical conduct that a school district’s board of trustees or the board’s designee determines:

1. To have the effect of physically harming a student, damaging a student’s property, or placing a student in reasonable fear of harm to the student’s person or of damage to the student’s property;

2. To be sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive to create an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment for a student.

The following are Internet sites about bullying and how to stop it.  Because technology is readily available, cyberbullying is also a concern.  It is addressed on these websites.
