Susie Bartlemay A long-time Allen resident, Susie is a
self-employed pharmacist and former small business owner. Susie served
on the Allen City Council and is a member of the Kiwanis Club, AHS
Touchdown Club, Allen Escadrille Booster Club, Allen Area Republican
Women, Allen Chamber of Commerce and the Collin County MHMR Board. "I
believe in education and high quality schools. I am serving on the
Foundation board because I want to be a part of continuing this
tradition in Allen."
Jane Bennett,
Vice Chair "I feel very strongly about the positive purpose of the Foundation and
want to have a part in its future." A long-time PTA volunteer in Allen
ISD, Jane brings a background in freelance writing and special event
organization to the Foundation board. She and her husband Ross Bennett
own Red Pepper Productions, Inc.. Jane is also active with the Friends
of the Allen Public Library, the City of Allen's Public Art Committee,
and the elementary art appreciation program "Art to Go."
Frank Brown "Our most precious and
important investments are our children. I want to be involved with an
organization that has the capability to enrich our children's and
grandchildren's lives over and above the normal education process."
Frank is a certified senior investment advisor and owner of Frank Brown
Investment Center. Other civic involvement includes Leadership Allen,
Allen Citizens Police Academy, the Small Business Alliance of the Allen
Chamber of Commerce, Allen Rotary Club and he serves as chair of the
Endowment Committee at First United Methodist Church.
Rod Griffin,
Secretary As Manager for Public Affairs at Experian, Rod brings the
support of Allen’s largest employer to the Foundation board. “The
unique scholarship and grant programs made possible by the Foundation
For Allen Schools enhance the educational
experiences of our students and helps attract the best educators to our
school district. Serving on the Foundation's board of trustees, and
supporting programs that help make our school district one of the best
in the state, is a rewarding opportunity to invest in the future success
of Allen's youth.”
Bruce Heller With more than 20 years experience in design, construction and
development of major real estate projects, Bruce is the president of
JaRyCo Development, LLC in Allen. His community service includes
membership on the Allen Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Christi Jefferson,
Treasurer "I support the purpose of the Foundation and feel that my professional
skills can contribute to its success. More importantly, I have a vested
interest in making Allen schools as successful as possible - Allen is my
home!" After many years in corporate accounting, Christi opened her own
CPA practice in Allen in 2004.
Jack Lamkin A Certified Public Accountant, Jack works for CF & Co., L.L.P. in Dallas
and is an active member of First Baptist Church, Boy Scouts of America
and the Allen Eagle Escadrille Booster Association. "Because of the
benefit that my family has received from Allen ISD, I am serving on the
board in order to "give back" to the district and the community. I
believe that organizations like the Foundation For Allen Schools can
help provide additional resources to teachers and students so that our
district can continue to provide outstanding educational opportunities
to our students."
Mark Lyon "As a parent of two children
attending Allen schools, it is very important to me that our children
get the best education possible. The purpose of the Foundation and my
goal as a parent, are the same, to make our district the best that it
can be." Mark is employed by EDS in Plano and brings a professional
background in technology and human resources to the Foundation board.
Susan McDaniel
"As a former Allen ISD
principal, I know first-hand the value of the work that the Foundation
does for the district." Susan was the principal at Green Elementary
School from 1995 until her retirement in May 2007. A realtor with Ebby
Halliday Realty, she is an active community volunteer for Sunrise Rotary
and the Allen Public Library Board. She and her husband are members at
Suncreek United Methodist Church.
Ronald Rodenbaugh A native of Allen and alumni of Allen High School, Ronald is the owner
of Rodenbaugh's Flooring America and Appliances. Ronald and his family
have been active community volunteers for many years. He joined the
board in 2006
Lee Schmidt,
Treasurer Lee is the retired Dean of the College of Business and Technology at
Texas A&M University-Commerce. "I am very interested in Allen's schools
and want to help them maintain high levels of excellence." Lee's other
volunteer activities include the Allen Sunrise Rotary Club and the Allen
Citizens Police Academy.
Sally Terrell Sally is a realtor with Ebby Halliday Realtors and owns Terrell's Dry Cleaning in Allen
with her husband Steve. Sally has been
an active members of the community for many years. She is a graduate of
Leadership Allen, a member of the Allen Kiwanis Club and the Allen Area
Republican Women's Organization. "I am interested in promoting and
assisting with alternative funding which will benefit the students of
the Allen ISD."
Pam Toups The co-owner of Hi-Line Supply, Inc. in Dallas, Pam is an Allen ISD
parent who is actively involved on the Story Elementary PTA Board, Ford
Middle School PTA Board, Allen Escadrille Booster Club Board and the
Tournament of Roses Board. "As a parent of a son who was a recipient of
a foundation scholarship, I know firsthand what wonderful things the
foundation can do."
Robert Weaver The owner of Security Mortgage Company in Allen, Robert is an Allen ISD
parent and active volunteer for the Foundation and the Allen Rotary
Club. He joined the Foundation board in 2006.
Rob Wendland Rob is a partner with Rapier, Wilson and Wendland and has served on the
Allen Planning & Zoning Commission, the Heard Museum Board of Directors,
the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League and the Dallas Institute for the
Humanities. "As a parent of two children in the
district, I consider it an honor and privilege to contribute in whatever
way to the Foundation For Allen Schools. I believe federal and state
funding is inadequate to provide the many programs and opportunities
which are absolutely vital to ensure the continued highest quality
educational experience in the Allen ISD."
Dr. Jerry Wilson,
Foundation Chair Dr. Jerry Wilson has had a
veterinary practice in Allen for many years and has served the city and
business community in many ways. He is a former member of the Allen City
Council, the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Chamber of Commerce
Board of Directors and Chairman of that board, and has served two terms
as president of the Allen Lions Club.
Tim Wilson "I am an Allen High School graduate and understand the importance the
role an organization like the Foundation For Allen Schools plays in the
community and school system." Tim is a Financial Advisor in the Wealth
Management Group at American National Bank in Allen. He is also a
graduate of Leadership Allen.
Robert
Winningham Robert is the Executive Director and CEO of the Alllen Economic
Development Corporation. His background includes five years on staff for
a United States Congressman, and serving as the Economic Development
Director in Greenville, Texas. A native of Richardson, Robert is also a
board member of the Texas Economic Development Council and the North
Central Texas Housing Finance Corporation. |
