The Foundation provides the money award for Allen ISD's Teachers and Rookie of the Year each May.

The Foundation For Allen Schools was created to support the students and teachers in the Allen ISD. The Foundation provides funds for project and programs that are outside of the districts annual budget.

Educational Grant Program
Each spring, Allen ISD employees are invited to apply for a grant from the Foundation. The purpose of the grant program is to provide funds for creative, innovative ideas that will enhance the learning experience for Allen students.

The grant applications are reviewed by a Foundation committee and the winners are announced in May. Funding begins with the new school year.

To date, the Foundation has awarded $175,000 in grant funds to Allen ISD teachers.

Current GRANTS are listed on the grant page.

Scholarships for Teachers
The Foundation supports the Allen ISD Advanced Academics Program with funds raised at the annual BEE for Education event. To date, teacher scholarship support from the Foundation exceeds $50,000. The Advanced Academics Program offers Allen ISD teachers tuition reimbursement for graduate studies. Teachers may receive up to $600 per semester.

Applications for the Advanced Degree Scholarship for Allen ISD educators are available from the Human Resources Deptartment.

Scholarships for Students
Through the generosity of several area businesses and families, the Foundation has established two scholarship endowment accounts. The Paul Pogue Family, owners of Pogue Construction in McKinney, donated $100,000 to the Foundation in 2003. This gift established the Pogue Family Endowment  In 2004, Stan Graff, owner of El Dorado Motors in McKinney, established a $110,000 endowment for Allen High School student scholarships. This is the largest single donation ever given to the Foundation. Scholarship funds are awarded from these endowment earnings each spring. Scholarship applications are available through the Allen High School Scholarship Center.
