Graduation Plan Comparisons

State of Texas Requirements
The State of Texas requires students to fulfill one of three possible graduation plans in order to graduate from a state-accredited institution. Students must pass the courses required and show competence in the Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills (TEKS) for each required course. Allen I.S.D. extends the graduation requirements in mathematics, science, fine arts and electives. In Allen, beginning with the class of 2005, students must complete a minimum of 24 credits to graduate under any of the three plans: the Minimum High School Plan, the Recommended High School Plan or the Distinguished Achievement Program. Here are comparisons of the three plans with A.I.S.D. requirements compared to Texas requirements.
