All incoming freshmen football players and their families are invited to the 9th Grade Meet the Coaches Night on Wednesday, May 7 at 6 PM in the Lowery Freshman Center cafeteria. Coach Westerberg will welcome the incoming freshmen football players and will introduce our Allen Eagle 9th Grade Football Coaches. You'll have an opportunity that night to purchase Allen Eagle spirit wear, football decals and yard signs or join the football booster club (Allen Eagle Touchdown Club ). Join us at after Meet the Coaches Night at 7 PM at Eagle Stadium for the Allen Eagle Varsity Football night practice.

Foundation For Allen Schools To Host Allen Custom and Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show on May 17
Working with CARS Road Show, the Foundation for Allen Schools is hosting a custom and classic car, truck and motorcycle show on Saturday May 17 from 10 am - 2 pm in the Allen High School parking lot. The event will benefit the Foundation's scholarship and grant programs.
The first 50 entries will receive a free t-shirt and dash plaque. Show time 10:00am-2:00pm Registration 10-11:30.
$20.00 entry fee (Registration for AHS students only 10.00)

TRAFFIC REMINDER-- the North entrance to Lowery is ONE WAY TRAFFIC both before and after school. Parents should ENTER from the west on Jupiter and head east....No one should enter from the east and proceed west. We need your cooperation to keep our kids safe! Also, please do not park your car in the pick up lane before or after school as this backs up our traffic.

Do you have Eagle spirit? Need a shirt to show that Eagle Pride? More importantly, do you have a spirit shirt to wear to Six Flags? Well, the PAL team has something for you!
The PALs will be selling spirit tanks and tees starting Monday, April 28th. Both tanks and tees are $12 a piece and are approved for students to wear on Six Flags day! The last day to order your spirit wear will be Friday, May 9th - so see your friendly campus PAL and get the spirit wear you need!!!
The Lowery PTSA is proud to recognize 2 staff members for their wonderful achievements working with our students in Allen ISD and especially at the Lowery Freshman Center. They have been selected to receive a Texas PTA Life Membership Award ....and the honorees this year are Nancy Hodson , English Teacher and Anna Curtis , French Teacher!
The AISD and Lovejoy PTSA councils selected two Lowery staff members to receive PTSA Citizenship Awards for their continued service to our students and community. Our honorees from Lowery are Lori Weaver, Lowery Campus Secretary and Alli Bode , Speech Teacher & PALs sponsor. We are so proud of all our staff and the continued awards they receive!

Since the storm 2 weeks ago, Parent Connect has not been working properly. If you have received alerts from the past or if you are not able to see all of your child's grades for this six weeks, please do not panic. Technology is working diligently to get this fixed as soon as possible. If you have a specific question about your child's grade prior to that time, you can email his teacher. And speaking of grades....the 5th six weeks ended this past Friday! We are in the home stretch as the final six weeks of your child's freshman year begins today!
The Allen FFA Meats Evaluation Team competed at the Area V Career Development Event at Texas Tech University on Saturday, April 12, 2008. The team had an outstanding day and placed first overall. The Area V FFA Association is comprised of the following counties Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Kaufman, Montague, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, and Wise. Allen FFA was represented by the following students:
Monique Esparaza
Lauren Firle - 13th overall
Heather Gallant - 9th overall
Caitlin Magnuson - 3rd overall
Kaylee Price - 2nd overall
These students will compete at the State FFA contest on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Texas A&M University. Please congratulate these students and wish them good luck at state.
