How do I apply for a job in Allen ISD if I am already an employee?

All AISD job opportunities are posted on the AISD website. Job opportunities are updated on a daily basis. Current employees may apply for current job openings by sending a letter of interest and updated resume to the HR department.

When are current AISD employees able to request a transfer to a different campus?
The AISD transfer request process takes place each February. This process is for AISD employees interested in transferring to another AISD campus in the same job capacity. The same job capacity means that teachers will be able to request a transfer for another teaching position at a different AISD campus, paraprofessional will be able to request a transfer for another paraprofessional position at a different AISD campus, etc. Campus principals will distribute the AISD transfer request forms and memos from HR explaining the process in January. There is also a AISD Employee Transfer Fair that is typically held in March. Principals are available at that time to speak to employees requesting a transfer to their campuses.

How does the midpoint raise system work and what is the rationale for the system?

The midpoint system is intended to provide equitable pay for employees in the same pay grade. The system groups similar job responsibilities on the same pay grade. The system assumes that those on the same pay grade perform similar duties and have similar value to the organization. Every person on the same pay grade receives an equal amount of a pay raise.  For instance, if the midpoint is $40,000. and a 3% pay is given, the amount of raise for the pay grade would be $1,200.  The emphasis of this system is on the amount of pay increase, not the percentage of pay increase.  This method is in contrast with the “across the board” pay increase system which focuses on the percentage of pay increases and provides different amounts for pay increases.  This system continues to spread the distance between those at the bottom of the pay grade and those at the top.  Over time, it creates an unequal system.
