Fund RaisersHello Reed Owl Parents! The Reed PTA is hard at work finding ways to help support the staff and educators here at Reed Elementary. Many times that support is through volunteers. Other times that support is monetarily provided. The PTA gets its funds from you! Your participation in the PTA Fundraisers and other programs, as well as direct donations to the PTA help fund the many programs and things the PTA does for the students. Some of the things that the Reed PTA has planned for this school year are:
These are just a few of the things that the PTA does each year for the students and staff. How can I do my part? Volunteer - Well, first and foremost, your time is always needed. Even if you only have an hour to spare for one event a year, you are needed! Please let us know if you are able to assist us in any manner. Support - Your support and attendance at meetings, functions, etc. are greatly appreciated. You can participate in any program, fundraiser, etc. to the limit you set! All efforts are appreciated. Financial - We know and understand what a busy schedule you have. If you don't have time to support a fundraiser, but would like to contribute, you may donate to the PTA directly. This way your funds go straight to the PTA and you can save the hassle of selling items. This year we have several fundraising programs going on: Boxtops - Remember to save General Mills Boxtops, each boxtop is worth 10 cents. All boxtops are due on that date. Remember to include the name of the student and teacher on the envelope to ensure proper credit towards the contest. You may continue turning in boxtops until the end of the year but will not receive credit towards the contest. Grocery Rebates - Each major grocery store, Kroger, Albertsons & Tom Thumb, have a rebate program. It doesn't cost you a thing to join, but it makes Reed money! For every $ you spend, a percentage is given straight back to Reed. For more information, on how you can participate, please contact me. Target Rebate - Similar to the Grocery Rebate, for every purchase made with a Target Credit Card a percentage is sent straight back to Reed! Spirit Nights - Each month we host a Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night and a Dickey's Spirit Night. Save yourself the work of cooking and cleaning up on these nights and come show support for Reed. Each restaurant donations a percentage of the night's sales to Reed. Keep in eye out for the dates in the Eye Opener!!! Fundraiser - The PTA holds an annual Fall Fundraiser. This is the primary source for revenue into the PTA. Information is sent home in advance. This year a Chocolate Sale was done in early November.
