The Team of Eight

The 7-member Board of Trustees and the Superintendent of Schools make up the Allen ISD Team of Eight.

Board of Trustees

The Board is charged with the responsibility of providing the finest educational program possible for Allen ISD students. The Board of Trustees sets school district policies and works with school district administration on decisions regarding personnel, curriculum and instruction, construction of facilities, expenditures and growth. Trustees adopt a budget which is necessary to maintain and operate the schools, levy taxes to support the budget and submit bond issues to the citizens of the district to finance construction projects.

Superintendent of Schools

The Board appoints the Superintendent of Schools as the chief administrator and executive officer. With the assistance of his staff, the Superintendent directs the total educational and administrative programs in accordance with Board policies and the rules of the Texas Education Agency. The superintendent attends all Board meetings and brings recommendations to the Board for action in carrying out the school district business.
