Enrolling New Students
Parents enrolling their student
for the first time should contact the school at which
their child will attend. A
child must be five years of age on or before September 1
to enter kindergarten and six years old on or before
September 1 to enter first grade.
A birth certificate or
hospital record from the time of birth that shows parent
names - child's name and birthdate, two proofs of residency, the child's
social security card and immunizations record are needed. A
current utility bill may be used as one proof of residency;
the other must be a voter registration card, an
apartment lease, or the closing date on a house.
(Closing date must fall within the first six weeks of
school to be eligible for enrollment). Contact the Student Services Office at 972-727-7115 to
verify eligibility if you have any questions.
Enrolling
Student Transfers Families moving to Allen with students not currently
enrolled in the Allen ISD may register their child at the
school they will be attending. Call the Public Information
Office, 972.727.0510, if you are unsure which school your
child will be attending.
Two proofs of residency, the child's social
security card, immunization record and his or her most recent report
card are required of students transferring into AISD. A
current utility bill may be used as one proof of residency; the
other must be a voter registration card, an apartment
lease, or a contract on a house.* Other
records will be requested by the district via mail as
needed.
* Date of occupancy may determine
enrollment eligibility. Contact school for more
information.

Sister Schools
(New Families Please
Read)
Due to rapid enrollment growth in Allen, the
enrollment numbers at some schools may exceed the building
capacity in various grade levels. As you enroll your child
in Allen ISD, please be aware that new students may be
assigned to a "sister" school outside of their attendance
area if enrollment capacity is reached at their home
school. District transportation will be provided if
applicable. As slots become available, the student may
transfer back to the home school or remain at the assigned
school.
Please contact the Office of Administrative Services at
972.727.7115 for more information about this transfer
policy. "Sister" schools for
2008 - 2009 include the following:
