A little about me! I taught 3rd grade Writing and Science and 6th grade Math for 4 years at Rountree Elementary in Allen.  This will be my 9th year of teaching and my 7th year teaching 6th grade.  I graduated from Baylor University ages ago with a business degree.  Over the years, I developed such a passion for helping and teaching kids that I left my 16 year career in sales to become a teacher.  I have been married to my wonderful husband for 23 years this year and we have 3 kids and our furry little girl...our Golden-Doodle named Kona.  My kids are all Olson Otters!  My daughter, Annabelle, headed off to college this August and is a freshman at the University of Arkansas.  My oldest son, Caden, is a sophomore at Allen High School and I get the joy of sharing 6th grade this year with my youngest son, Levi.  

 

 We love living in Allen and I am so blessed to teach here too.  My kids keep me busy with soccer, football, and basketball.  We are an athletic family and LOVE to go to the beach.  I have run 6 marathons and many 1/2 marathons.  I am a breast cancer survivor and am blessed to be cancer free for 6 years!  I am passionate about lots of things including:  READING, running, eating healthy, yoga, traveling, cooking, the Dallas Cowboys, Baylor and my students!  I am so blessed to be teaching in Allen at such a great school.  I can't wait to see what my 6th graders and I discover on our journey this year.  Please contact me throughout the year if you have any questions or concerns!
