I am thrilled and excited to be teaching English Language Arts to your child here at Green Elementary.  This year marks my 31st year in education, my 21st year teaching in Allen, and my tenth year teaching here at Green.  In the Spring of 2015, I graduated from Texas A & M at Commerce with my Master's Degree in Reading.  I have previously taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Pre-K, and 7th and 8th grade English and Math.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in second grade. I grew up all over Michigan and graduated from Northern Michigan University, which is in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. In August before my senior year of college, I married my wonderful husband, Josef. We have five children.  My firstborn are triplet boys. Thomas is married to Erin and is a Major in the Air Force.  They have three children; Josie, who is 7 1/2, Brady, who is 5 1/2, and Delaney, who is two years old. They will make me a Gigi for the sixth time this November! Andrew works for an Austin-based company where he is the Director of Customer Service for a tech company. Nicholas lives in the area and is the General Manager of a pub in McKinney. My older daughter, Caroline, was born 16 months after the boys and works in a hospital as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, about a half-hour north of Austin. She and her husband Mitchell have two beautiful girls--Chloe, who was five in March, and Natalie, who is a very active 2 1/2 year old. My younger daughter, Elaine, is a Texas Tech graduate.  She is beginning her fifth year teaching at Community ISD, which is northeast of Wylie.  There she teaches on-level and advanced Algebra 2.

We moved to Allen in August of 1996 after spending 15 years in the Air Force and wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Texas!

My favorite place to read when I visit Michigan in the summer. This is the southeast end of Lake Superior. Isn't it beautiful!  :)
