Welcome to my 4th grade math and science class! I love teaching at Norton, and I am excited to find out what this 2020-2021 school year has in store for us! Ms. Herrington is my "switch teacher", and will teach ELA and Social Studies.
Here's a little about me: I grew up in southern California and went to San Diego State University. I earned my teaching credential and Masters Degree in education through Chapman University, and am certified in Gifted and Talented Education. I taught 5th grade in Newhall, CA, before moving to Texas to teach 4th grade in Plano. When my first daughter was born, I was able to stay home and take care of her full time. My husband and I now have 3 awesome kiddos (1 will be at Norton this year!), and I love being back in the classroom (even if it's a virtual classroom)!
I promise to love your kiddos like my own as I teach and challenge them, and I would love to collaborate with you to make sure the 4th grade teachers and I are meeting all of your kiddo's needs. Please feel free to call or email me with questions, concerns, and of course to let me know if we're doing our part well.Laura KentSchool Office- 972-396-6918Voicemail- 972-236-0600 ext 5109Email- firstname.lastname@example.org
