Teacher Appreciation Week
Allen ISD Transportation Dept. wishes to thank our teachers; past, present and future; for their dedication to education of our youth. Please accept our gratitude for the teachers who taught us, those who taught our children and those who will teach future greats, who started where our students are today. In a classroom.
AISD wins State Bus Driver of the Year
Every year PCAT (Property Casualty Alliance of Texas) presents an award for Bus Driver of the year. AISD Transportation Dept. has taken top honors again with Paul Kerudis nailing down the Statewide Bus Driver of the year. This award is earned and judged on leadership, positive attitude, and perseverance as well as technical skills and relationship with parents. It's good to know our insurance company loves us.

Saturday, April 7, was the 2018 Road-EO competition between Region 10 and 11. AISD performed a clean sweep of first, second and third in the Transit division, plus bringing the Champion Team placard back to AISD. The Champion Team placard is for the overall best team from both Region 10 and 11.
Dee Dee Lewis is no stranger to taking top honors and did it again on the 7th with first place. John Yoder came in second, with our first year driver Trent Banks taking third. Sterling Page received a perfect score of 50 out of 50 points for Parallel Parking. Next stop is the State competition on June 23, 2018.
These competitions stress safety practices as well as the individuals skills. But behind it all is also our Training Department teaching these skills and safety habits. Congratulations to our A-Team and our Training Department.
