Scheduled to open in 2019, the Allen ISD STEAM Center will be a unique facility dedicated to science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics instruction.
The center will serve up to 500 high school students per class period in STEAM-related high school courses and it will also serve as a destination for elementary and middle school field experiences.
The STEAM Center project was approved by Allen voters in 2015 and will be completed in two phases. The elementary and middle school portion will open in January 2019. High school students will begin attending STEAM classes there in August 2019.
In addition to the 000,000 sq. ft. facility, the STEAM Center property will include a pond, nature trails and outdoor learning spaces to be used by all grade levels.
