Allen Police Department - School Resource Unit
My name is Sergeant Clayton Collier of the Allen Police Department. I currently serve alongside Sergeant Richard Garayua in supervision of the School Resource Unit within Allen ISD. My office is located within the Lowery Freshman Center and I supervise the SRO Program for the following Allen schools: Lowery, Dillard, Curtis, Ford, Anderson, Bolin, Chandler, Marion, Olson, Reed, Rountree, Story, and Vaughn. Sergeant Garayua supervises the SRO Program within the remaining Allen ISD schools.
I am a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University and have served with the Allen Police Department since 2008. In addition to serving within the School Resource Unit, I also serve as the Assistant Team Leader of the Tactical Unit's Robot Team, I am a departmental firearms instructor, and I serve as our agency's TASER Master Instructor. I have experience serving within the Patrol Division as an Officer, Corporal and Sergeant and I served three years within the Criminal Investigations Division as a Crimes Against Persons (CAPERS) Investigator. I have also served short-term supervisory roles within the Community Relations Unit and the Traffic Unit.
I have been married to my wife, Annie, since 2009 and have had the opportunity to glimpse into the world of public education through her experiences as an elementary school teacher. My assignment within Allen ISD schools is now allowing me to further experience and understand what goes into educating the children of our community. It is a pleasure to serve within this unit and I look forward to each day I get to work with the wonderful staff and student body here within Allen ISD.
