Tardy Policy
The tardy bell rings at 7:45 a.m.
Tardy students will need to be walked into school by a parent and signed in.
The doors on the side drop-off close promptly at the bell, so please use the drop-off at the front of the school for tardy students.
Marion welcomes each student into the building beginning at 7:30 a.m. each day.

Accessing Your Child's Grades
Your student's nine-week grade reports are available to view and/or print in Skyward Family Access. In Family Access, choose Portfolio. Each student in grades three through 12 has live grade book grades available to view at any time. In Family Access, choose your student from the drop-down menu, then choose grade book from the tab on the left. By expanding the class name, you will see the assignments and grades for the class.

District Policy Regarding Absence Notes
If your child is absent from school due to illness, family emergency, religious holy day, or documented juvenile court proceeding, the district requires a parent/guardian to provide a hand-written excuse note or doctor’s note providing the reason for the absence within three days of your child’s return to school. These notes allow the school to code the absence “excused.” All absences will be coded as “unexcused” until the office receives a note. Excuse notes are very important since 10 or more unexcused absences within a six-month period are considered a violation of the compulsory attendance law in Texas.
