    Dear Preston Fifth Graders and Families,
     
    I am SO excited about this year at Preston Elementary! I can't wait to see everyone's smiling faces!
     
    As your child's teacher, I will play a very important part in their day to day learning experience, but I feel parents play an extremely important role as well. I want to encourage you to be involved in your child's learning experience this year. The more encouragement and support a child has at home and in the classroom, the more successful that child will be. In creating a partnership as parents and teacher, this will help your child see the endless resources they have in learning.
     
    Please know we will work together to make sure this year goes smoothly and is successful. Communication between us will be key and my e-mail is always open! 
     
    Please take every opportunity to become involved in our school and your child's learning! This includes reading every night, established routines and homework habits, and also making sure to get to know me as well as other staff members! Preston Elementary also has a great PTA, and they are always looking for new members, and this is a great way to get involved and stay involved!
     
    I will do my best to ensure that yours and your child's learning experience this year is the best one possible. I am so excited to kick off the year, it's going to be great!
