I moved to Allen from Fargo, North Dakota, where I had been teaching elementary and coaching high school Volleyball.

After graduating from the University of North Dakota (UND) with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, I began my first job as an elementary gifted and talented teacher in Grand Forks, ND.  It was at this time that I also began pursuing my first graduate degree; in elementary and gifted & talented education.

After the completion of my first master's degree, I moved home to Fargo, ND, where I taught first graders and continued to coach high school Volleyball.

In 2000, I moved to Allen, where I accepted a position as an 8th grade Science teacher and Volleyball/Track coach at Curtis Middle School.  During my time at Curtis, I completed a graduate degree in Educational Administration and worked alongside the principals to gain administrative experience.

After 13 years of teaching, in 2010, I helped open Cheatham Elementary as the Assistant Principal.  In 2014, I was named the Principal of Cheatham Elementary.  In 2018, I began a doctoral program in educational leadership and completed my superintendent certification.

Cheatham Elementary is my home away from home!  I absolutely LOVE coming to school every day, and feel privileged to work with so many wonderful staff members, students, and families!
