Hello! My name is Kirsten West Hammons. My husband Dan and I are the proud parents of 5 children. Our oldest is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University. We also have a sophomore currently at Texas A&M and another sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin. Our two youngest are a high school senior and a high school sophomore, who both play in the Allen band.
This is my 11th year serving as the Speech-Language Pathologist at Anderson Elementary School. I graduated from Baylor University in 1994 (Sic 'em Bears!) and received my Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) in 1996. I love helping children to be better communicators, and am so glad to be an Anderson Allstar!
Some things we work on in Speech Therapy include: grammar skills, social language skills, appropriate use of voice, fluency in speaking and reading, articulation skills, and receptive and expressive language skills. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns regarding your child's speech and language skills.
